Maple for Industry and Government
The World’s Most Powerful Engine for Technical Computing
Solve, analyze, and deploy mathematically rigorous models using symbolic computation, numeric solvers, AI-assisted workflows, and direct code generation — all in a single environment.
For over 40 years, Maple has been the math engine engineers reach for when the problem is too complex, too critical, or too important to get wrong.
Maple is a technical computing environment for engineers and researchers who need exact mathematics, reproducible analysis, and a direct path from derivation to implementation. It combines symbolic computation, numeric solvers, a math-native programming language, and code generation in a single system – so you derive analytically, validate numerically, and deploy without reimplementation.
When the problem is genuinely hard, dimensionally complex, analytically demanding, or too sensitive for approximation — Maple is the tool that handles it. Not because it approximates well, but because it computes exactly.
Maple sits at the heart of Calculation Lifecycle Management (CLM) — the framework that moves engineering organisations from calculation storage to calculation intelligence.
Maple + Ai
AI is transforming how engineers work but it has a fundamental weakness. LLMs cannot be trusted with calculations. They approximate, they hallucinate, and they burn through compute tokens doing it. The solution isn’t to avoid AI. It’s to give your AI a math engine it can actually rely on – one built on 40 years of algorithm research and 9,000+ mathematical functions.
Maple AI Assistant
Your Technical Assistant Inside Maple
The Maple AI Assistant lives directly inside your Maple environment and understands it completely. Ask it in plain language to write code, build documents, explain results, or suggest next steps and get answers you can trust. Your active document is automatically used as context, responses include executable Maple code insertable at a single click, and every calculation is computed by Maple’s verified engine, not the LLM.

Maple MCP – Math for LLMs
Give any AI a Trusted Math Engine
Maple MCP connects your preferred LLM — ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or any other — directly to Maple’s math engine. Every calculation gets delegated to Maple: exact results, fewer tokens consumed, and no more mathematical hallucinations. Whether you’re an existing Maple user or simply want your AI to stop getting the math wrong, Maple MCP works for you.
Maple MCP: When AI Needs to Know, Not Guess
Connect the world’s most trusted math engine to your LLM and get answers you can actually rely on, using far fewer tokens.

What engineers ask about Maple
Can Maple solve differential equations symbolically?
Yes. Maple is the world leader in symbolic ODE and PDE solving. It finds exact solutions to ordinary and partial differential equations, differential-algebraic equations (DAEs), and delay differential equations (DDEs) — including problems other systems cannot handle. Recent releases solve over 94% of linear recurrence sequences in the OEIS.
Can I connect Maple to ChatGPT or other LLMs?
Yes. Maple allows you to plug Maple directly into your preferred LLM as a math computation layer. This means your AI assistant can delegate all calculations to Maple’s verified engine — eliminating numerical errors from AI-generated math.
Can Maple generate production code?
Yes. Maple’s CodeGeneration package exports to C, C++, Python, Java, MATLAB, Fortran, and VBScript. Code is derived directly from verified symbolic expressions — including code embedded in worksheets and application components. There is no manual re-entry step.
How does Maple handle units?
Maple has a fully integrated units’ system. Dimensions are tracked throughout symbolic and numerical computation — including numerical differentiation. Unit errors are caught automatically. Recent performance improvements mean unit-bearing computations run up to 90x faster than in prior releases.
Can Maple connect to Python, MATLAB, or external AI tools?
Yes. Maple has native interfaces to MATLAB, Python, Excel, and Jupyter. It also supports Maple MCP, which connects external AI tools directly to Maple’s math engine — so AI-generated mathematical results are computed by Maple rather than approximated by a language model.
What industries use Maple?
Maple is used across aerospace and defense, automotive, electrical and mechanical engineering, civil and structural engineering, energy, finance, and academic research and education. Its combination of symbolic power and documentation capability makes it applicable wherever rigorous mathematics is required.
