Application Engineer

Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for Application Engineers to join Lanika Solutions. Candidate will be majorly responsible for providing comprehensive End to End Technical Support to customers for Lanika Solutions product tool suite including Product Installation, Training Customers on product usage and Troubleshooting.
The individual should excel in front of customers combining technical knowledge. Our Application Engineers must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users; identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales cycle.
Experience in Matlab/Simulink, optical software, image processing software, material science software, model-based testing software will be an asset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Application Engineer questions and provides technical advice to current and prospective customers, both internal and external, regarding our software products.
- Maintain and contribute to Application Notes, software demos and other literature for customers and sales leads.
- Represent Lanika Solutions at technical trade shows, answering questions and providing information regarding software products. May prepare and present software/hardware demonstrations for trade shows as well. Travel in entire India will be required.
- Develop a working knowledge of in-house customer inquiry logging software to be used to document technical support calls.
- Prepare technical written descriptions of software products.
Experience and Qualifications

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree (B.E.) from a four-year college or university; a 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to respond to inquiries and/or concerns from customers. Ability to effectively present technical information to customers, employees, management team and/or board of directors.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to make reasonable business decisions or ask for assistance from other engineers.
- OTHER EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES: Ability to work with other technical & non-technical individuals in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to track and communicate progress on customer projects. Ability to travel, occasionally, both domestically and internationally to meet with customers or vendors. Ability to work with changing priorities and support both customers software & hardware needs. A willingness to learn and be mentored by engineering experts.
Nice-to-have Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge on using : ASAP/APEX, Avizo/Amira, Reactis, MatCalc, C, C++, Matlab/Simulink and Zemax will be an asset but not an essential criteria.
